Renault woos van customers

RENAULT is hoping to break new ground with a pilot scheme of three stand-alone specialist van centres.

The Van Service Centres' separate facilities, aimed directly at van customers, will operate off-site from main Renault dealerships and promise reduced booking times for business users.

Renault plans to set up 50 van service centres across the UK, with 20 by the end of 2003. They will include a dedicated van workshop facility, specialists who understand van customers and the market and the technical ability to handle problems.

The centres will also offer flexible opening hours to suit users in their local areas. The first three are located at City Motors, Bristol, Bury Motors, Bury and Driveline, Ashford.
