PEUGEOT is launching a new 16-valve 1.4-litre engine for the 206, combined with changes across the whole range of superminis.

The 90bhp 1.4-litre is added to the 206 offering, along with a new automatic transmission with a sequential manual change function.

Meanwhile the line-up has been split into two groups. The Classic range includes Style, S and SE models (replacing the previous Style, Eco HDi, Look, LX, GLX and Roland Garros) and the Sports range includes Quiksilver, XSi, XSi HDi, (replacing the Dturbo) and GTi.

ABS is now standard on all but the Style model where it is a £300 option, while interiors receive upgraded trim. The Peugeot 206 range starts at £7,995 on-the-road.
