First diesel Cupra

SEAT'S high-performance Cupra range has been expanded to include the first diesel.

The Leon TDi PD Cupra uses a 150bhp version of the Seat 1.9-litre engine and is priced at £16,000 on the road.

The car covers the 0-62mph sprint in 8.9 seconds and has a top speed of 134mph. However, it returns 52.3mpg on the combined cycle and its carbon dioxide emissions figure is 146g/km.

The interior specification mirrors that of the 180bhp Leon 1.8T Cupra with automatic climate control, trip computer, radio/cassette with six-CD autochanger, electric windows, sports seats and white instrument dials.
