NISSAN is preparing to recall 108,000 cars in the UK to check potentially faulty wiring in their engine management systems.

Soldering in the wiring of the X-trail, Primera, Almera and Almera Tino may break and cause a short-circuit. Only cars fitted with 1.5, 1.8 or 2.0-litre petrol engines are affected by the potential fault, which could cause the car to stall or fail to start.
