VAUXHALL'S fleet team is to take over selling and promoting Saabs to fleet operators.

Vauxhall will be offering a General Motors portfolio to fleet decision-makers in the 25-plus vehicle market, with Saab's range of executive models fitting at the top end of the Vauxhall model line-up.

Vauxhall executive director, sales, marketing and aftersales, Bill Parfitt will head up Saab GB as chief operating officer, with its managing director Jonathan Nash reporting to him.

Vauxhall's fleet sales director Maurice Howkins will now be responsible for all Saab sales to 25-plus fleets in the UK. Sales to sub-25 fleets, small businesses and retail sales will remain the responsibility of the Saab internal sales team, while Saab has now relocated its offices from Marlow, Buckinghamshire to Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Vauxhall's existing fleet sales teams will now be given volume targets for Saab across their designated market areas – the field sales team, covering fleets of 25-600 units, the corporate team, covering fleets of 600-plus unit, the rental team and the leasing team, which will also be responsible for managing Saab wholelife costs as well as placements with leasing companies.

Further support will be given through the Vauxhall demonstrator programme, making Saab demonstrators available to fleet operators via support company SMH.
