COMMERCIAL vehicle manufacturer LDV has won a contract to supply rental and leasing company Sixt with 2,000 vehicles in a deal worth more than £40 million at showroom prices.

The vehicles will be delivered over the next two years. LDV will supply Sixt with vans, minibuses, crewcab, chassis cab tippers, dropsides and Lutons. It has worked with Sixt for the past six years, at first supplying just 50 vehicles.

Sixt's UK operations manager Kevin Murgatroyd said: 'Our partnership with LDV stretches over many years, with the company proving its ability time and again to supply quality products with excellent wholelife costs.'

LDV's executive director, sales and marketing, Tony Lewis added: 'Once again, our flexibility in terms of vehicles, afterservice and support, have stood us in excellent stead.'
