SEAT unveils 150bhp Ibiza FR

SEAT has unveiled a high-performance Ibiza which will go on sale in the UK early in 2004.

The Ibiza FR uses a 150bhp 20-valve 1.8-litre engine offering a 0-62mph time of 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 135mph. It has 16-inch alloy wheels and titanium trim on the door mirrors and light housings.

In future, SEAT's sporty models will fall into two categories – FR and Cupra, with Cupra as the highest performance model. An Ibiza Cupra will follow the FR later in 2004.
