TYRE company Michelin has ordered 24 Citroen light commercial vehicles including the new car-derived van, the Xsara Enterprise.

The Xsara Enterprises and Berlingos will be supplied by Reg Vardy, Stoke-on-Trent, and will be operated by Michelin's Fleet Solution division.

Providing tyre services to truck, bus and coach operators, the vehicles will be on four-year/80,000-mile contract hire agreements, with maintenance, through Lex Vehicle Leasing.

The Xsara Enterprise vans will be used by fleet inspectors and staff trainers, while the Berlingo LX 600 vans will be used by Michelin Fleet Solutions service engineers and will carry tools and specialist equipment as well as truck and bus wheels and tyres.

John Stack, Michelin Tyre's group fleet manager, said: 'The Enterprise provides our company with the best of both worlds. They have load-carrying practicality, together with car-type looks, performance and comfort. As soon as I saw this vehicle at the British International Motor Show, I knew that it was ideal.'
