  • Ford has introduced a six-speed manual transmission on Mondeo TDCi 130 models, with prices starting at £16,320 on-the-road. Designed to suit its high torque output and to give greater in-gear flexibility, Ford claims the gearbox will improve fuel economy, performance and refinement levels. Motorway fuel economy is increased by a claimed 7% due to a taller sixth gear while its overall combined figure is marginally improved at 46mpg. CO2 emissions remain at 154g/km.
