Emergency data

SUSSEX Ambulance Service has signed a two-year extension to use wireless data services supplied by Transcomm that transmits information regarding emergency '999' calls between its control centre and 160 mobile units.

When an emergency call is received, personnel at the control centre locate the nearest available resource using satellite tracking information from their vehicles sent to them over the Transcomm Network.
