Postal carrier expands fleet

THE Business Post Group has expanded its fleet by 138 vehicles, following the acquisition of Birmingham-based courier group BXT.

With a turnover of more than £4 million a year, BXT's fleet and 150 staff are set to roll into Business Post, which already has a fleet of 1,400 vehicles.

Paul Carvell, chief executive of the Business Post, said: 'BXT is a high quality business providing solutions for some well-known organisations in the IT, utilities and medical sectors. We can now give the company the backing it needs to develop further.'

BXT specialises in technical courier services, which include delivering to technical installations, water sampling services and the health care sector.
