TOYOTA Motor Marketing Europe (TMME) is taking control of 12 European distributors as part of a move to boost efficiency.

From April 1, the sales and marketing companies across Europe will become part of TMME, which is responsible for co-ordinating the manufacturer's European sales and marketing activities. The development is aimed at improving the effectiveness of Toyota's sales structures in Europe and at accelerating its decision-making processes.

A spokesman said: 'The new structure will allow the 12 national sales and marketing companies to focus on key sales and marketing activities in their respective countries.'
