AVIS Rent A Car has received a strategic partner of the year award from leasing company LeasePlan.

The award was given for Avis' consistent achievement of gold status for all four quarters of 2002 in three key areas of service level performance as judged by LeasePlan. They are supplier initiative, implant performance and operation efficiency. LeasePlan judges hand out gold, silver and bronze awards based on service levels met by its partners with each category being reviewed quarterly.
