MOTORPOINT is due to open a new £3.5 million car supermarket in Glasgow within the next few weeks.

The company already has sites in Derby and Burnley, and its new showroom in Scotland will offer customers a wide variety of new cars from top manufacturers typically, the company claims, up to half the list price of the average UK dealer.

Models offered are generally less than 18 months old with low mileage, it adds.

Motorpoint director David Shelton said: 'Since first opening our doors for business back in 1998 we have enjoyed a steady increase in sales as more and more consumers wake up to the savings we have on offer.

'Our new site in Glasgow will help us to continue our success story. It is an ideal location to manage the ever-growing number of customers we serve in Scotland and the north of England who currently visit our Derby and Burnley sites.'
