MIDLANDS electricity company Aquila Network Services is taking delivery of 60 Ford Transit Connect vans complete with racking equipment from Bri-Stor.

The short wheelbase models will be used for the installation, repair and maintenance of electricity meters. Each has been specified with a nearside sliding door and the racking includes heavy duty ply floor, polypropylene lining and an internal step ladder holder.

A transverse unit is fitted for tools and parts which can be accessed from both side and rear of the van and there is a bulkhead-mounted striplight for added illumination. Aquila fleet technical engineer Martin Walters said: 'The company's product quality has proved to be good and its prices competitive, hence the placement of this current order.'
