New telematics guide launched

A NEW guide has been launched by the TransportEnergy Best Practice programme giving advice to van fleet operators.

It is aimed at those interested in finding out more about telematics, its applications and benefits. The guide also helps in the selection of the right system for a given transport operation.

A huge range of telematics systems and functions are available, almost all aggressively marketed by their suppliers. This can make it difficult for operators to find objective information about telematics, particularly when deciding if a system is right for a particular operation.

The new Telematics Guide, GPG341, has been designed to fill that gap, giving operators impartial advice on the subject.

It also contains four recent case studies that describe how different operators have used telematics to achieve measurable benefits.
