• KEN Keir, managing director of Honda (UK), has taken on the role of senior vice-president of Honda Motor Europe. In his new capacity he assumes the role of member of the executive board and, as such, is legal director. He also shares responsibility for Honda's overall European operations and achievement. Reporting to Keir are three general managers: David Strangeway for cars, Mark Davies, motorcycles, and Martin Sanders for power equipment.

  • ANDREAS Lubitz takes over the marketing and public relations departments for Bernard Krone Holding. He was previously editor-in-chief of a German commercial vehicle magazine. At Krone he takes responsibility for the commercial trailer division.

  • RON Bambra has joined Pentagon Glass-Tech as a non-executive director. He was previously managing director with Kwik-Fit Fleet. In his new role he spearheads the company's drive to win more fleet business. Pentagon recently floated on the Alternative Investment Market.

  • MIKE Breeze has been promoted to the post of director with Arval PHH Accident Management. He was previously director of operations in the fleet division having joined the company in November 2001. Breeze brings to his new role with Arval 25 years' experience in fleet management including roles with Federal Express and the RAC.

  • THRIFTY Car Rental has appointed Nick Booth as business development executive to head up its new section based as its headquarters in High Wycombe. Before joining Thrifty, Booth was with House of Fraser for nine years in a number of sales management roles. Prior to that he was a church leader with the Christian Ministry for 14 years. He reports to Thrifty's head of national accounts, Linda Paul.

  • NISSAN Europe has announced the appointment of Frederique Le Greves as vice-president, communications. She replaces Denis Berthu who has left the group. Le Greves takes responsibility for product, internal and corporate communications across Nissan's European operations. She began her career at General Motors in 1990 and was most recently regional communications director for Delphi Europe, Middle East and Africa.

  • NATIONAL Car Rental has made two senior sales appointments in the form of Kathy Johnson and Vicki Graveley. Graveley has been promoted to head of sales for fleet and replacement and was previously director of sales development. Johnson takes on the role of head of corporate travel and insurance sales. She joins from Arval PHH where she was sales and marketing manager of vehicle rental. Johnson has also been appointed as chairperson on the Institute of Travel Management's supplier board.
