LEASING company Alphabet has appointed Richard Schooling as its new commercial director.

Schooling has been with the company since becoming a founder member in 1987 and has played an integral part within its sales growth.

Prior to his promotion, Schooling held the post of general manager overseeing the sales operations. However, his fleet career spans back to 1986, including roles as general manager at both Leasedrive and Dial Contracts.

Schooling's role will take on duties formerly covered by Mike Baldry, chief operating officer, who left in February.
