MOTORPOINT has opened a £3.5 million car supermarket in Glasgow offering almost 3,000 cut price vehicles.

Following the success of its Derby and Burnley sites, Motorpoint is hoping to sell a substantial amount of its stock this month alone.

David Shelton, Motorpoint's director, said: 'We have received hundreds of enquiries already and anticipate that we will sell more than 1,000 vehicles from our Glasgow site in April.'

The majority of the vehicles are less than 18 months old have clocked up low mileage. Motorpoint claims to offer prices between 30% and 60% lower than typical dealer prices.
