Sprinters earn their stripes

PARCEL distributor Tiger Haulage has got its claws into a new contract with Mercedes-Benz.

The company, which operates the largest independent group of franchises in the Initial City Link (ICL) nationwide delivery network, has placed an order with the manufacturer for 61 new Sprinter 311 CDIs.

It marks a return to the brand for the company which used Mercedes for several years until the late 1990s.

Of the 61 Sprinters being delivered by dealer Hughes of Aylesbury, about half are additional vehicles to cope with an increase in trade, while the rest replace a sizeable proportion of the 240-strong fleet.
