CHRISTIAN Geraud has taken over as managing director of Peugeot in the UK. He replaces Tod Evans, who has moved to the new position of non-executive chairman of the board of Peugeot Citroen Automobiles UK. Geraud has been with Peugeot for 30 years and moves from Peugeot Italia, where he was managing director. Evans is based in London and his new responsibilities include the group's external relations and communications.

  • GOODYEAR Dunlop has announced the appointment of Graham Scholefield as director, retail, to head its UK operations. He joins the tyre company from Kwik-Fit and brings 10 years of experience in senior roles covering operational, purchasing and regional management.

  • HONDA has announced the appointment of a new president and chief executive officer. Takeo Fukui has been with Honda for 34 years and has experience in areas including research and development, engineering, environmental technology, racing activities and manufacturing. He succeeds Hiroyuki Yoshino in June, who then becomes a director and adviser to the manufacturer.

  • THRIFTY Car Rental has created two new operations managers in its corporate locations. James Malliff takes on downtown locations and Rosemary Duffy is responsible for airport locations. Malliff transfers from licensee operations at Thrifty and is based at High Wycombe. Duffy, based at Glasgow airport, brings more than 20 years retail experience, most recently with Budget Rent-a-car.

  • LUCY Edmonds has been appointed operations manager at BCA Bridgwater. She joined the company as trainee account manager in the fleet office when the centre opened 10 years ago. In her new role Edmonds is fully responsible for the operational aspects of the 20-acre auction site.

  • ZANETA Lynam has been promoted to the position of client services director with National Fleet. She has been with the company since 1995, joining as a purchase ledger manager. She was promoted to financial controller and now, in her new role, takes responsibility for the fast-fit company's 24-hour fleet call centre and finance departments.

  • JULIE Zelem has been appointed regional account manager for the north west with Hertz. She joined the vehicle rental company in 1991 and now takes responsibility for developing corporate and travel industry accounts. She reports to UK sales manager, Lara Moran.
