• MICHELLE King has joined Lex Vehicle Leasing as its academy manager. She has joined Lex's sales training arm from Securicor, where she was head of training and development. King's key responsibilities include developing the skills of the business-to-business group through coaching and training.

  • TOWQUEST has recruited Vladislav Gudim to its specialist fleet management and car rental web development team. He brings a wealth of experience in a variety of web development languages obtained while employed by software houses in his native Estonia. Gudim will specialise in the development of the company's online car rental product.

  • CHEVIN Fleet Solutions has appointed Mark Wilson as software engineer in its FleetWave development team. Wilson has worked in the past for Hawk Jets, IBM in Saudi Arabia and with the military in Germany, where he designed and implemented logistical simulation during the Gulf War. FleetWave is a web-based fleet management system.

  • MANHEIM Europe has appointed a new group sales director. Richard Hill heads up the company's push into the European manufacturer disposals and remarketing sector. He takes responsibility for the integration of Manheim's services including the development and management of its vehicle disposal and remarketing products. Hill was previously account director for Portfolio Europe, part of Manheim Auctions. Before that he was with BMW Financial Services, Rover and Lombard.

  • WILL Slater has joined Honda's press and PR team as media relations executive for events. He joined the company four years ago and was most recently in product planning. His new role is to create and run media events.

  • THRIFTY Car Rental has appointed John Ager as Flexifleet manager. He oversees the launch of the corporate programme's website in the summer. This will enable customers to compare rates on short-term, cost-effective vehicle rental and provisionally book a vehicle online.

  • ALEX Wright has been promoted to sales director, commercial vehicles, with Manheim Auctions Europe. He joined the company in 1995 and has been involved in the growth of commercial vehicle disposals ever since. He was previously with BCA and is also a fully-qualified mechanic.

  • ABS has announced the promotion of Ian Douglas to network services manager. He joined the accident solutions company four years ago as accounts assistant and has been part of the network team for two years. This new role sees Douglas bring new repair centres into the network.
