Inchcape clinches Mazda deal with National

INCHCAPE Automotive has secured a contract which will see the group handling the de-fleeting of Mazda vehicles being used as hire cars by National Car Rental.

The refurbishment and logistics group will collect end-of-contract vehicles from National following the agreement to provide a sole transport services package. The de-fleet process will be managed electronically and will cover collection of vehicles and refurbishment to the delivery of Mazdas to the forecourt. Inventory and stock levels will be managed thorough the internet.

Inchcape's sales and marketing director Gerry Lynch said: 'Inchcape technology, coupled with our web-based stock management information, enables Mazda to manage its end-of-contract rental cars efficiently. Our electronic systems enable Mazda to get back into the marketplace and delivered as quickly as is possible.'
