VAUXHALL will offer new common rail diesel engines in the revised Corsa when it goes on sale this autumn, as well as low consumption petrol technology.

The new 70bhp 1.3-litre and 100bhp 1.7-litre diesel engines both use common rail technology and there will be a 90bhp 1.4-litre petrol 'twinport' which uses 13% less fuel than the existing 1.4-litre unit. Twinport technology also leads to a 3% improvement in fuel consumption for the frugal 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine. The revised Corsa will have improvements to steering and an expanded range of equipment, as well as new headlamps and other cosmetic changes.
