Minibus move

ATKINS Transport Management (ATM), part of the Epsom-based Atkins group of companies, is offering Surrey schools and other organisations minibus driver assessments and training as part of its county-wide transportation service.

Currently, anyone with a full pre-January 1997 car driving licence is entitled to drive a minibus without the need for extra training.

Since January 1997, car drivers who have passed their basic test have to take a further one to qualify for driving anything larger, unless they are driving on a 'voluntary' basis.
