Audi continues surge in corporate sales in face of stalling market

ADVERTORIAL: THE first half of 2003 has seen Audi Corporate Sales continue to grow despite a 5.4% decline in the corporate market place. The current overall sales for Audi stands at 35,849 (3% market share) with Audi Corporate Sales at 14,041 year to date. Despite the corporate market being down Audi Corporate sales have increased, and we are confident that our success will continue to grow.

For 2003 Audi is again in an enviable position with the launch of the new A3 and the new A8.

Easily the sportiest car in this sector, the new A3 also provides fleet managers with the benefits of great engines that are EUlV compliant. The new A8 joins the model range as the world's most advanced luxury sports saloon. The new V8 engine provides the luxury saloon with sporty performance. This outstanding performance is matched by the luxurious interior and ingenious multi-media interface.

Audi Corporate Sales has several areas that serve the corporate arena. Corporate account managers (CAMs) offer individual account solutions to large companies that run a fleet of over 250 vehicles or purchase 20 or more Audi cars. The CAMs work closely together with selected Audi Centres to provide a professional Audi experience. They, with support from Audi Corporate Development and the Business Centre, develop relationships with corporate customers that builds on the competitiveness of the Audi model range.

Within the Business Centre Audi Corporate Online acts as a liaison between the leasing contract hire industry and some large end-user companies, and Audi UK. This service was established to provide an 'Audi experience' in the corporate market place. This is achieved through efficient administration and consistent levels of excellent customer service. The philosophy behind this service was to provide a 'retail' experience for the corporate customer with their local Audi Centre, to achieve a whole life Audi experience.

Audi Corporate Sales also supports Local Business Development Managers (LBDM). This involves co-ordinating a consistent approach throughout the network; highlighting the importance of business sales to each Audi Centre; and expanding on local opportunities.

Audi Used Cars is also part of Audi Corporate Sales and works together with the other departments to establish strong links between the brand and leasing companies in terms of establishing strong residual values and aiding the reintroduction of their Audi cars into the market place.

Audi Corporate Sales is pleased to announce that Adrian Short will soon be joining the department as Head of Audi Corporate Sales. Adrian brings a wealth of experience from his current role looking after the strategic development of the Audi Centre Network for the Midlands and South West, as well as having previously worked for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as Head of Customer Service. Adrian will head a department that has grown and become an increasingly important part of Audi and the fleet market. With the continued popularity of the excellent model range and the new A8 and A3 models the Corporate Sales department is set up for an exciting future.
