HYUNDAI is offering the Smartnav 'live' satellite navigation system from Trafficmaster as an option on Trajet, Santa Fe, Elantra and Coupe ranges.

Already standard on Sonata V6 models, Smartnav eliminates the need for screens or maps – the driver presses a button on the dashboard to link to the Trafficmaster call centre. A call centre operator takes details of the destination and the car's location and the system guides the driver to the final location, avoiding sudden road blocks, accidents and roadworks.

Smartnav is priced at £695 from Hyundai dealers.
