THE Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) has produced two new audit tools designed to assess the competence of people involved in the administration and control of company car fleets.

They are the fleet management and administration skills audit and the advanced fleet management skills audit.

The ICFM believes that many businesses do not have the tools to measure competence and identify staff training needs.

The problem of poorly-trained fleet managers has been well-documented with the Fleet News Get Trained campaign, which has attracted fleets that operate more than 15,000 vehicles worth an estimated £210 million.
