Megane on top

RENAULT'S new Megane has replaced the Volkswagen Golf as the best-selling car in western Europe during the first six months of 2003.

It is the first time since 1982 that Renault has topped the list, which has been dominated by the Golf for 20 years. The only other exception was when the Fiat Punto was the best-selling car in 1997.
