GRAHAM Sterry has been appointed security adviser with National Car Rental. Prior to this move Sterry was a detective chief inspector for the Metropolitan Police with a career spanning 32 years. In his new role he heads up a small team responsible for all the firm's security procedures in the UK.
ROBERT Browett has moved to a new role as head of government and public affairs for the new London office of PSA Peugeot Citroen. He has represented Peugeot for more than 20 years before becoming director of sales development and training at Peugeot, a post he held for 12 years. Most recently he was manager of public affairs. He reports to Tod Evans, former managing director of Peugeot and recently appointed chairman of Peugeot Citroen Automobiles UK.
ARVAL PHH has announced the appointment of Mike Curtis as head of remarketing. He was previously with Motability Finance and GE Capital Fleet Services. His experience in fleet and contract hire spans 13 years. He now takes responsibility for all the company's used vehicles and leads MultiFleet Direct, Arval PHH's used vehicle site at Leamington Spa.
AUTOGLASS, the vehicle glass repair and replacement company, has appointed Simon Edwards as corporate marketing manager. His extensive experience includes, most recently, brand manager for Zanussi, part of Electrolux. Edwards works alongside the account management team and his remit is to explore and develop joint marketing initiatives with the company's business partners.
MITSUBISHI has appointed a new general manager of retail operations. Robert Ayland joins the dealer operation covering the mid-west from Warner's Motor Group where he was sales director for six years and managing director for two. His new role involves overseeing all aspects of the business at Cheltenham, Reading, Bristol and Cirencester.
DAVE Fletcher has been with ATS Euromaster for 23 years and the company has announced his most recent promotion to the post of national sales manager, regional accounts for light vehicles. Fletcher reports to trading director, Dave Hall, with a new challenge of training and focusing a sales team to deliver fleet solutions such as the Euromaster Reporter System, mobile fitting and one-card initiatives. He also works alongside Naithan Keeping, director of fleet sales.
PHIL Weller has been appointed head of intermediary sales at Insureassist, a division of the Helphire Group. He brings more than 20 years of experience in retail insurance broking and was previously with Bennetts (GB), the Worcester-based intermediary.
