New European chief for GE Fleet

GE Fleet has made Mary McNamara its new head of European operations.

She replaces Daniel Farrar, who has led GE Fleet in Europe since 1997 and is remaining within the GE group in the USA. GE Fleet trades in several European countries under the Avis Fleet Services brand.

McNamara will head a team of 1,100 employees in 12 countries looking after more than 270,000 lease and fleet management vehicles. She was previously managing director of European programmes for GE European Equipment Finance.

McNamara's brief at GE Fleet is to develop customer relationships and the customer experience, and drive growth initiatives across a number of countries.
