Security upgrade

FLEET drivers with 2000 to 2003 Ford Transit vans are being offered an improvement to the security system on their vehicles.

Ford is writing to owners of Transits from 2000 to 2003 model years to advise them to contact their specialist dealer to arrange the free security improvement to their vehicle.

Gary Whittam, commercial vehicles director, Ford of Britain, said: 'We were alerted to a new method of attack by thieves on the Transit and our engineers immediately developed an improvement in the security for all owners. This action shows how we aim to stay one step ahead of the criminal world.'
