Marconi signs Lex contract

MARCONI, the telecommunications company, has signed a five-year multi-million pound deal with Lex Vehicle Leasing.

The move will see Lex manage the group's existing 1,600-vehicle fleet and supply new vehicles during the five-year contract.

Lex will provide maintenance, accident management and RAC breakdown cover on Marconi's current fleet but will also introduce new contract hire agreements over the five year period, including the provision of 200 light commercial vehicles.

Paul Harris, real estate and operational development manager at Marconi, said: 'Our fleet is a significant business asset and choosing the right fleet management partner was an important decision. Lex met or exceeded all our commercial and service expectations.'
