FLEET costs look set to increase as the price of fuel has stopped its steady fall and has started to rise again.

Arval PHH, which operates the AllStar fuel card, says the average cost of unleaded fuel is now back to its May levels at 75.37 pence per litre (ppl).

The average price of diesel in July was 77.10ppl. The average price of LPG in July was 38.65ppl.

Danny Clenaghan, managing director of fuel and business mobility at Arval PHH, said: 'Oil prices traditionally rise during the summer because that is when demand for petrol and diesel reaches its peak in the US and, to a lesser extent, Europe.'
