VOLKSWAGEN has unveiled its high-performance roadster concept (pictured).

The Concept R is a two-seater with a mid-mounted 262bhp 3.2-litre V6 engine with a 0-62mph time of 5.3 seconds and a limited top speed of 155mph. It features a six-speed Direct Selection Gearbox (DSG) and rear-wheel drive.

Volkswagen has not decided whether the car will go into production.
