GDCH for Weir

MULTI-national engineering company The Weir Group has chosen Godfrey Davis Contract Hire (GDCH) to fund and manage its 460-strong fleet of cars and vans.

The company previously used a number of suppliers but decided to consolidate its entire fleet with one provider following a business review.

As part of its fully outsourced contract hire agreement, GDCH is responsible for driver management and will also liaise with Weir's 15 regionally-based subsidiaries. Bank of Scotland Vehicle Management head of new business and product development, Steve McKinstray, said: 'The Weir Group is a forward-thinking organisation that readily understands the efficiencies that modern processes can deliver. 'We were able to demonstrate the benefits that technology, in the form of web-based real-time reporting, could bring to the fleet operation.'
