NEW security measures are being added to tax discs in a bid to beat fraud.

For the first time they will include a barcode that will enable licensing information to be electronically transferred to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) from Post Office branches. It says this will have a major impact on accuracy of the vehicle record.
