Elixir gives a hint of new Peugeot 407

THE strongest indications of how the long-awaited replacement for the Peugeot 406 will look have been revealed with the unveiling of the 407 Elixir concept (pictured).

Powered by a 2.7-litre V6 common rail diesel developing more than 200bhp, the Elixir has four individual adjustable seats and nine airbags. The car has double wishbone suspension all-round, promising excellent road holding.

The new Peugeot 407 is earmarked for launch in the first quarter of 2004. The Elixir will be on display at next week's Frankfurt Motor Show.
