FLEETS using the Cybit telematics system can benefit from improved communication and reporting following an upgrade, the company claims.

Cybit, which provides online fleet management and telematics services, has launched a new radio system which enables fleets to use two-way communication with mobile workers. Drivers are able to send and receive data messages with the new system which Cybit claims is less costly than traditional text messaging.

John Wisdom, sales and marketing director at Cybit, said: 'Currently most systems rely on SMS messaging for two-way text communication with drivers. This can be costly and restrictive. Now we're combining real-time tracking with two-way messaging so companies can exchange larger pieces of information with their employees effectively.'

The group has also improved its reporting systems so fleet managers can run more detailed journey and status reports.
