THE speaker line-up has been announced for next month's Fleet News Europe Conference 2004. Under the heading 'Revolution or Evolution' the event aims to separate fact from fiction in the pan-European fleet sector.

Expert speakers will include Nick Brownrigg, chief executive officer, European full service leasing, GMAC; Peter O'Brien, senior vice-president corporate procurement of Deutsche Post World Net/DHL; Nick Themist-ocleous, director of European fleet and leasing at Ford; Martin Verelli, head of market intelligence at EurotaxGlass's and BCA European mainland Europe sales director, Lars-Erik Aaroy.

Others are Steve Simpson, head of European development at HSBC Vehicle Finance; Bart Vanham, director at tax consultant PricewaterhouseCoopers; Ann Cormack, European fleet manager at Shell International and Dr Paul Nieuwenhuis, co-ordinator of the Centre for Automotive Industry.

It will be chaired by automotive industry expert Professor Garel Rhys OBE and will take place on February 17 at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel in London.

BCA Europe is sponsor of a cocktail reception and registration on the evening of February 16.

Providing a valuable insight into the latest boardroom thinking, session topics will include European pricing and residual values, fleet legislation and transport and traffic policy. Another session, covering the pan-European fleet market in general, will feature analysis from fleet operators, leasing companies and car manufacturers.

It will answer the questions: how big is the market in reality, who is best placed to win market share in coming years and how has the hype of recent years distorted expectations?
