SAAB has introduced a new 1.8-litre entry level model for the Saab 9-3.

The new 122bhp 1.8i engine will complement the existing line-up of turbocharged 150 bhp, 175bhp and 210 bhp 2.0-litre petrol, and 125 bhp 2.2 TiD engines in the Saab 9-3 range. The 1.8i engine incorporates direct ignition and costs £16,995 on-the-road. It offers adaptive service intervals of up to two years/18,500 miles and offers combined fuel consumption of 35.8mpg, with the 0 to 60 mph sprint taking 11.1 seconds.
