LARGE MPVS Large diesel MPVs such as the Renault Espace, VW Sharan and Ford Galaxy are following their positive seasonal trend, accompanying the onset of winter, and seeing prices rise


Used buyers are flocking to automatic superminis, especially in urban areas. Are they trying to make traffic jams more bearable? Currently enjoying a price premium of around 10% compared to equivalent manual models in some areas.


Buyers are becoming savvy about the latest diesel technology. There’s good demand for all diesel-engined cars featuring high-pressure direct injection technology (TDI, HDI, CDI etc)

Going down


The market for large petrol luxury saloons, such as the Mercedes-Benz S-class, BMW 7-series and Audi A8 continues to experience low demand. Used buyers want diesel


Values are falling for cars aged five years and over, with upper medium sector vehicles experiencing a pronounced reduction in demand. However, strong demand continues for high-specification models


The SUV market is still very strong, but the ageing M-class is faring worse than newer, trendier competitors such as the Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5 and Volvo XC90
