Highway cop-out

COMPANY car drivers are failing to observe basic road rules according to latest findings in which more than 75% admit to not knowing the Highway Code.

More than 26,000 fleet drivers were polled by road safety charity Brake. Despite 61% of respondents travelling more than 10,000 miles a year, more than a quarter had not read the Highway Code for more than 10 years. Only half of drivers have a copy of the current Highway Code and only 20% had read it.

Brake recommends that drivers obtain a copy of the CD-ROM version of the Highway Code. Call 01484 559909 for a copy, priced £6.99.
