Drivers demand higher standards

FLEET drivers are demanding higher standards from their service providers, including rigorous vehicle safety checks.

Recent research has shown that 97% of company car drivers believe it is vital that safety checks are completed when a vehicle is being maintained and 81% want to see a progress report. GE Capital Finance Fleet Services also found that fleet drivers having vehicles serviced or maintained also rated service provisions such as courtesy cars and valeting as vital.

Mike Reed, operations director at GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services, said: ‘The results of the research show fleet drivers are demanding every higher service standards.’
