The initiative is part of the national hunt for the UK’s best fleet decision-makers as part of the annual industry ‘Oscars’, the Fleet News Awards.
Fleets can be entered for any of six categories, covering UK Fleet of the Year, European Fleet of the Year, three fleet manager awards, covering sub-100, 101-400 and 401-plus fleets, and there is also a Risk Management Award.
Supplier companies can either help their clients to fill out the form via the link on FNN’s homepage or email us at fleetnews@emap.com and ask us to contact the fleet executive directly.
The move is designed to spread the search for Britain’s best fleet managers and companies even further to ensure that best practice in all areas is truly rewarded.
Fleet managers will be invited for interviews early next year, with a final shortlist invited to the annual industry awards, at a gala dinner in the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on March 16, 2005.
Last year, more than 1,300 people attended the glittering event, with winning fleet decision-makers receiving their awards on stage from celebrity newsreader Sir Trevor McDonald.
Entering the awards is easy. Simply fill in the details on FNN and send in your form electronically.
The deadline for entries this year is December 10.
The call for entries for fleet decision-makers is just one part of the preparation for the awards, which take more than six months to put together. There are several other categories covering manufacturers, service companies and headline awards, with a total of 32 awards given out on the night.
As part of a series of major changes to the awards process to reflect the changing shape of the industry, there are several new categories and a new judging process, which will be revealed later this year.
