RESIDUAL value specialist CAP Monitor has given the new Audi Sportback a rave review.

CAP has forecast the new model will retain 45% of its value after three years/60,000 miles, making it one of the lowest depreciating cars in its class. The Sportback would be still worth £8,000 in 2007 and Jeff Knight, CAP Monitor’s forecast manager, said: ‘Part of the Sportback’s future success in the used market will be the ongoing desire by many drivers to move out of the traditional volume saloon cars, effectively downsizing but moving up in terms of brand image.’
