THE latest appointments in the fleet industry.

  • DHL Express has appointed Tim Patey as product manager for its international mail product Globalmail Business. Patey has been with DHL since 2000 and previously worked in DHL sales looking after major accounts within central London. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing DHL’s international mail offering and domestic express services to customers. He will report to group product manager, Mark Peacock.

  • MIDLAND-based All Electric Garages has recruited Steve Waldron as its new group corporate sales manager. Waldron will be responsible for building on a 300-vehicle fleet deal from HSBC Vehicle Leasing and increasing orders from other fleet companies, as well as meeting demand for Citroen commercial vehicles. Additional responsibilities include boosting Seat sales at Halesowen, handling after-sales for MG Rover and producing a new internet brokerage website.

  • GILDERS Van Centre has expanded its team with the appointment of David May and Lee Ibbotson. May will head up the overall operation of the van centre in his role as commercial vehicle brand manager and Ibbotson resumes his previous role as commercial fleet specialist providing a service to business users. May will be responsible for a 17-strong team and brings extensive experience in the industry. He spent 18 years with the Volkswagen commercial network ending with a role as group sales manager. He also spent four years as area sales manager at Sheffield-based Man Erf UK. Ibbotson has seven years experience in commercial fleet and will be responsible for the further development of new fleet business in the van centre.

  • RICHARD Sangster has joined epyx as product manager on the group’s 1link Disposal Network. He has been involved in the motor industry since 1995 with experience including vehicle logistics at Daewoo, Pantech and GE Capital Fleet Services. Sangster will be responsible for developing the 1link Disposal Network ensuring that it ingrates with leasing company disposal departments. Daryn Clarke has also joined the group as software developer on the 1link Disposal Network. He has worked in IT for more than 10 years with experience including local government, bar coding software, online retailing and vehicle logistics.

  • LLOYDS TSB autolease has appointed Louise Reid as business development manager within its broker division. Reid brings 12 years’ experience gained in Lloyds TSB autolease and she will be responsible for developing the broker division in the Midlands and the south west. She has worked in several departments within the company including the sub-50 fleet telesales team.
