Alcohol alert

AS the run-up to Christmas begins, hard-hitting research has shown that almost a quarter of drivers killed on UK roads are over the drink-drive limit.

Studies have shown that in 2002, 23% of the 797 driver fatalities had a blood alcohol reading over the 80mg legal limit.

The RAC Foundation is calling on fleets to convey drink-drive warnings to employees.
