THE Fleet News Industry Conference is now less than a week away.

Speakers include David Jamieson MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, responsible for Transport, Chris Chope OBE MP, Shadow Minister for Roads and Traffic and Andrew Armitage, head of the automotive sector at Howes Percival solicitors.

Others include Brian Back, chairman of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, Simon Gulliford, group marketing director, Barclays and Julie Jenner, who manages Nokia’s 1,000-strong fleet.

Experts will also discuss the latest thinking on diesel, petrol and LPG vehicles with broadcaster Huw Edwards chairing the day.

Nick Vandervell communications director of the UK Petroleum Industry Association (UKPIA), which represents the eight oil refining and marketing companies in the UK, will join the panel alongside Richard Tarboton, Head of TransportEnergy, Energy Saving Trust and Tod Evans, chairman of Peugeot Citroen Automobiles UK.

The conference is sponsored by National Car Rental and will be followed by the FN50 dinner to unveil the FN50 analysis of the UK’s contract hire and leasing industry.
