MINI range offers extra TLC

MINI is offering an extended fixed servicing package with an extra three years or 30,000 miles on top of the existing five-year/50,000-mile scheme.

Called tlc XL, it costs an additional £300 and can either be bought when the car is registered or bought before the next service is due at the end of the initial tlc package.

It fixes scheduled servicing costs at a total of £450 for eight years/80,000 miles, as the standard tlc pack will increase from £100 to £150 from January 2005. Both can be transferred to new owners if the car is sold during the period of cover, although tlc XL is only available for cars that have had tlc since they were first registered.

Trevor Houghton-Berry, general manager for MINI UK, said: ‘With some of our MINI owners now well into their MINI tlc 50,000-mile cover period, it is great to be able to offer them a top-up package that means they can enjoy the benefits of fixed-cost motoring for years to come. MINI tlc XL is ‘extra large’ in name and ‘extra large’ in value.’
